Part 3 - " Pauli Effect " The Pauli Effect - the supposed tendency of technical equipment to encounter critical failure in the presence of certain people — originally, Austrian physicist Wolfgang Pauli. Part 1 and Part 2 (sorry for delay, this aar didn't get written right after and got shoved on the backburner). This After-Action report was written by one of my players, Grandini.  Thanks bud.  Monument, Montana  11:11 pm, Tuesday April 19, 1999 Cheyenne Inn Motel M-Cell stands amid the electronic shambles of Room 11, before them stands a blonde woman, eyes fully dilated, completely unbothered by the steady trickle of blood down her nose, around her mouth, and slowly dripping off her chin. Her arms out-stretched, palms open, both to show peaceful intent and to show the writing in sharpie on arms.  On the left: DO NOT SHOOT. THIS IS AN AGENT OF DELTA GREEN .  On the right: THIS VESSEL POSSESSES DEGAUSSING FACTOR. The woman, or rather, the thing piloting th...

Report: Operation SIAM SAM - Part Two.

Part 2 - " Controlled Environment" Ambience 7:00 PM - 19 April 1999 MONTY returns from the library after having done some research on The Damascus Syndrome, discovering it to be an internet chatroom and forum focused on discussing the topic of nuclear disarmament, with no discernible connection to Majestic, Delta Green, or the operation at hand. While MIRIAM and MORGAN sleep, MARCUS and MONTY go to watch the skies, believing they'll spot Grey spacecraft, or perhaps a Majestic stealth helicopter. They spot no such craft. A quarter-mile away, some townsfolk gather in a backyard for a fire, music, and beer, enjoying the first night of decent weather since the start of Spring. MONTY and MARCUS' attention is then directed an armored truck coming down a service road. Through his binoculars, MONTY spies a U.S Department of Energy logo on one side.  The truck stops underneath a telephone pole and the back door opens. Three men, two in jumpsuits and a third in a shirt and tie...

Report: Operation SIAM SAM Part One

Part One: " Strange Men Come to Monument " December 1998. Norfolk, Virginia.  In a meeting room at Naval Station Norfolk, FBI Special Agent Sasha Rozenstruik waits. An invitation was given to her by her supervisor, heavily classified and evidently handed down from very high up in the Bureau. It summoned her here. Finally, the door unlatches and a cadre of seven men, three in suits and four in officer's uniforms - she spies colonels, majors, captains - enter.  They commend her for her work while assigned to Task Force Nemesis, and its efforts to pursue and persecute the international human trafficking ring known as the Dorian Grey Society, alongside FBI Agents Trevor Bloom and Adrian Walck. Likewise they commend herfor her cooperation later aiding Bloom and Walck and Air Force Office of Special Investigations Agent Catherine Connelly in their investigation of "outbreak" in Brattleboro, Vermont. They recognize her hard work, her investigative talents, and her...d...

WIDOWMAKERS: Master Post

Image
In the Fall of 1998, a drug dealer from Boston is found dead, several states away in a coastal town in Connecticut. Though the cause of death is initially ruled a suicide, the FBI office in Boston demands to be shown the body for examination, as the man had once been a confidential informant for the Bureau, who suspects a mob hit. The FBI autopsy reveals the bizarre state of the man's insides, almost melted. The case comes across A-Cell's desk, the state of the man's corpse, and the detail that in his final months he had moved to Connecticut to join an "Alternative Medicine Research Group" convinces them to launch an investigation.   WIDOWMAKERS was one the first full-length scenarios that I wrote and ran for Delta Green. It has evolved over three iterations into the scenario it is now, the playtest for which actually sparked my ongoing Belli Occulta campaign.  It began life initially as a really hollow knock-off of the Sowers cult from the Labyrinth, but was give...

WIDOWMAKERS - Part Six

Hey all, apologies about the delay. Got very busy and then distracted. here it is, the last installment of WIDOWMAKERS. Enjoy. Juvenile Brood of Eihort statblock is from 'Love Bug' by Mellonbread. SATURN SALOON Nike Missile Site HA-33 was sold by the Department of Defense Drummond Dynamics, a subsidiary of March Technologies, in the late 1980s. The Department of Defense was happy to let it go, as their alternatives would be to sell it to the State of Connecticut, who weren't very interested in buying back a small plot of land and being saddled with all the legal liability that came with a decommissioned missile launch site. As far as anyone knows, it is a storage annex for March Technologies, a well-connected and wealthy defense technology contractor. The site's missile batteries were disassembled and the facilities were expanded to accommodate a fully-furnished bio-lab, its researchers, and security personnel. It is staffed by a team of 7 March Technologies researchers...

WIDOWMAKERS - Part Five

The Occultist Agents thumbing through the 1990 TABLE DANCER report will no doubt raise an eyebrow at the mention of a certain occultist that the original Delta Green team had dog-eared as a potential asset in their investigation. An occultist and antiquarian running a small antiques shop in the Dorchester neighborhood by the name of Bernice Cartfield.  Preliminary investigation into Cartfield reveals that she's originally a Floridian, and studied fine arts in Tallahassee before moving North in the late 1980s. Her business is well-regarded and has encountered very little in the way of legal trouble. Inquiries made through Boston law enforcement about Cartfield reveal that she is thought to be cordial and cooperative by the Sheriff's department, with whom she had offered her consultation regarding a rash of voodoo-themed gang violence in 1993.  Any inquiries to A-Cell reveal that beyond the TABLE DANCER's mention in the 1990 report, A-Cell knows essentially nothing about Cart...
